Pastor Chris' father was a Lutheran minister on the South side of Chicago, where he grew up and attended parochial schools. He married his high-school sweetheart, Shikina, and they have five sons. Pastor Bodley received his first call to a small, traditional Lutheran Church in Orlando, FL, which he faithfully led for fourteen years. During this first assignment the worship attendance nearly tripled.

The congregation grew to two services and ministered in various community outreach events. Pastor Bodley also served as a Navy Chaplain and in 2003 was deployed to Iraq with the United States Marines. Upon his return, his resolve was deepened and his passion was re-fueled to reengage the vision that God set upon his heart. The Lord led him to take the enormous leap of faith to become a church planter. It was at a Church Planter's Conference that God orchestrated a divine meeting with Pastor Jim Timmons, who was in the process of planting a church in Sanford, FL. The two Pastors launched Living Water Community Church in 2007.

Pastor Bodley currently serves as the Senior Pastor of LWCC. God is gathering people of all ethnic groups and nations to expand the Kingdom of God and Change The World!
